The camp honors the memory of Nate Anderson, a former HHS soccer player who enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduation. While home in Vancouver on leave, Nate tragically passed away at the age of 19. This camp was created to celebrate Nate's life and the values he embodied—service, leadership, kindness, and community.
Thank you to all of our campers, high school volunteers, coaches, and families for continuing this meaningful tradition and creating a fun, positive, and welcoming experience for the next generation of Hawks.

We are getting some questions about whether the HSD is on a normal schedule and we want to confirm that all Hockinson schools are on a normal schedule today, 12/18.
2 Hr. Late Start
Today, Wednesday, Dec 17, the Hockinson School District is on a 2 hr. Late Start due to lack of power and road debris.
All bus routes will operate on a 2 hr late pick up schedule with no AM service for Cascadia Tech and AM Preschool.
We will update you should power not get restored in a timely manner.
All HHES buses will be running approximately 20 minutes late today Thursday, Dec. 11. We regret that transportation for a field trip fell behind schedule. This delay will likely impact all HSD bus riders K-12.
We will send out additional updates should these delays change or if there is any other news relating to this issue.
We apologize for this inconvenience.

Next up, HHS (Seeded #6) plays Sehome HS, the #3 seed, in Bellingham, WA on Friday, Nov. 14 or Saturday, Nov. 15. We will update this post once decided.
This is a single elimination tournament so the season is over for the losing team. However, the winning team would advance to the semifinals, playing the winner of Cedarcrest v West Valley at Federal Way Memorial Stadium on Friday, Nov. 21.

We want to thank the Hockinson community for its enthusiastic support at today's first-ever HHS Homecoming Parade. 💙
Due to its early start time, we're aware that many families and residents were unable to attend in person. So here are a couple of links to videos of the parade. One is a street-view recording by HSD Superintendent Steve Marshall...which features his spontaneous commentary. He apologizes that he wasn't very prepared. (As in, at all!) https://youtu.be/N74wsYKp4LU?si=lGxKO7IMpNmkkCfa
The second is an aerial recording courtesy of Brandon Redeau, made with equipment for the middle school's CTE Video Productions class:

A Reminder to HSD Families & Hockinson Community:
159th St. will be closed tomorrow, Fri. 9/26, from approximately 2:00 to 3:30 pm for the first-ever HHS Homecoming Parade. Please check the 9/19 message to parents or 9/21 Facebook post for the parade map. We have been in contact with First Student and do not anticipate an impact on busing.
Friday is going to be a big day for HHS and Hockinson:
#1. It's a community-wide Spirit Day -
All HSD staff are encouraged to wear school or district spirit wear. Residents are also invited to wear blue or Hockinson gear!
#2. Three local businesses are running Homecoming specials -
