Hockinson High School FBLA members at the Washington State Business Leadership Conference in 2026.

Fifteen members of Hockinson High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter competed in the Washington State Business Leadership Conference last month, and the results were impressive. Four students are advancing to the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas, next month!

FBLA conferences provide students with the opportunity to develop essential career skills through competitive events, workshops, and networking with industry leaders.

Sophomore Christina Chhor was named the state champion in Intro to Business Communication. She also placed second in Intro to Business Procedures and third in Intro to Parliamentary Procedure. Sophomore Graysen Aldridge placed second in Healthcare Admin, freshman Griffin Aldridge placed second in Intro to IT, and senior Reyna Baba placed third in Advertising.

These state qualifiers are now focused on two things: fundraising and preparation. Each student must raise over $800 to cover travel expenses to San Antonio. They are reviewing their scores from State and using that experience to prepare for the heightened competition at Nationals.

A big thank you to FBLA advisor Taylor Guzman for making this success possible. Great job Hawks, and best of luck!
