Napoleon Dynamite LIVE! - a two-night event at HHS on March 5 and 6 - was a kid-friendly evening full of nostalgia, community, and plenty of laughs. Fans packed the school’s multi-purpose room for a screening of the film, followed by interactive activities and a Q&A with three of the film’s stars: John Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro), and John Gries (Uncle Rico). Best of all, the event was a fundraiser for the Hockinson High School Theatre Company!
HHS Theatre Director Stephanie Evans was appreciative of the three actors' generosity, but she also thanked those who attended. "Your attendance and enthusiasm [helped to] support Hockinson Theatre. Events like this help us continue creating meaningful theatre experiences for our students and community," said Evans.
Evans invites the Hockinson community to join her students at their next production, Shrek the Musical, in May. "Our talented students have been hard at work bringing this hilarious and heartwarming show to life, and we would love to see you there," Evans said.
