Two HHS seniors who distinguished themselves on last year’s Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test recently received some exciting news: They had earned commended status, meaning their scores placed them in the top 50,000 students in the country. Congratulations to Avery Berg and Brenton McNair!

“Taking the PSAT qualifies students for potential scholarships and affirms students who might otherwise not see themselves as college-bound,” said Fox. HHS has been covering the cost of this exam for the past two years. Citing a significant increase in test participation in the past three years, Fox is pleased that HHS students have taken advantage of this opportunity. “Before HHS covered the test fee, 21 students took the PSAT in 2021. Two years ago, 96 students participated. Last year, 121 students took the test. I am so proud of our students and congratulate Avery and Brenton on this distinction,” said Fox.
