"The Sound of Music" Spring Musical Flyer

Don't miss “The Sound of Music,” presented by Hockinson High School Theatre Company this spring! “The Sound of Music” is a popular 1959 stage musical about a young postulant named Maria who becomes a governess for the seven children of a widowed naval captain in Salzburg, Austria.

The work of 103 students, including performers, crew members, and pit band musicians, make this production possible. Included in the production team are Hockinson Heights Elementary School, Hockinson Middle School, and homeschooled students. HMS seventh graders will get a special daytime preview performance on May 1 before the show opens to the public. Rehearsals have been underway since January, and the cast and crew are excited to share their hard work with the community.

"The Sound of Music is a beloved, family-friendly classic, and I think the Hockinson community will really enjoy seeing our students bring it to life on stage,” shares HHS Theatre teacher Stephanie Evans. “It’s a story full of heart, humor, and timeless music—perfect for all ages." Come join HHS Theatre for a night to remember!
