Last Saturday, HHS Theatre brought Little Red Riding Hood to life with Totally Red!, a student-directed play featuring six unique retellings of the classic tale, including a musical version. Over 60 students participated in both on- and offstage roles, with 9 student directors leading individual scenes.
The event featured a Character Breakfast where young audience members met and colored with their favorite characters. Each attendee left the theater with a red velvet cupcake, supplied by local vendor Lisa's Virtual Sweet Shop.
HHS Theatre hosted three matinees for Hockinson students to attend and received an outpouring of support. Theatre teacher Stephanie Evans shared that the Character Breakfast was a hit with the high schoolers, who enjoyed it so much that they’ve already asked to do it again next year!
We are looking forward to HHS Theatre students combining their talents to produce their upcoming spring musical, Sound of Music.
