HHS Boys Swimmers and Wrestlers spent the President's Day holiday competing against opponents from around the state.
Boys Swimming set numerous personal best times at the State Swim Meet, held at King County Aquatic Center. Parker Dangleis, Liam Dunn, the 200 medley and the 400 free relay teams qualified for the finals. Notable finishes included:
Dangleis placed 6th in the 200 m freestyle and 5th in the 100 m freestyle.
Dunn placed 2nd in the 50 m freestyle and 5th in the 100 m backstroke.
The 200 m Medley (Liam Dunn, Tobias Maitland, Parker Dangleis, and Nathan Chung) placed 11th.
The 400 m relay team of Liam Dunn, Nathan Chung, Degan Guinn, and Parker Dangleis placed 8th.
Overall, the HHS team placed 11th out of 34 teams.
Meanwhile, three wrestlers represented HHS at the XXXIII Mat Classic at the Tacoma Dome: Jake McKee (126 lbs), Ethan Hsu (132 lbs), and Cody Wheeler (195 lbs). All three wrestled hard.
