Attention All Hawks Fans: We want to be sure everyone knows that HHS will be taking its Oct. 29 Homecoming football game on the road. Kickoff will be at 7 pm at Doc Harris Stadium in Camas. (Address: 841 NE 22 Ave. Camas, WA).
As many in Hockinson know, once the autumn rains start, our beautiful stadium field becomes saturated with water and unable to withstand the wear and tear of football games. Not only does football damage the field, poor field conditions create a much greater risk of student injury. For reference, here is a “Before” photo of our field as of Tuesday – green, wet and barely holding together and an “After” photo of the HHS-CRHS football game from five years ago.
While it is disappointing that our Hawks will have to fly south for Homecoming, we are grateful that the artificial turf field in Camas is available to us. Tonight’s celebrations will start at 5:00 pm at HHS with a pizza party provided by the ASB. Come to HHS for an early dinner and then join the Hawk caravan to Doc Harris. A big thank you in advance to all the students and fans who will bring their Hawk spirit with them and make Doc Harris Stadium feel like Hawk Territory for the night!
