The drawings of Finn Henwood (Grade 12) and Malcolm Chapel (Grade 10) were recently honored at the ESD 112 Superintendent's Art Show. Henwood's "Grasp" was one of fifteen pieces that received the highest average scores from judges and will represent southwest Washington at the 2023 State Superintendent of Public Instruction Art Show in Olympia.

Chapel's drawing "Good News!" was also highly rated by judges and was awarded Honorable Mention status.

In addition to the recognition from ESD 112, all student artists who were recognized with an award in this year’s Art Show also received scholarships from the Department of Art + Design at Central Washington University and Pacific Northwest College of Art. Henwood was awarded a $2,000 scholarship from Central Washington University and a $3,000 Art Excellence Scholarship, renewable for 4 years, towards future enrollment at Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA).
