Welcome to HHS

Letter from HHS Principal Tim Fox and Assistant Principal Kathy Pacheco:

Dear Hawk Students, Families, and Friends,

Welcome to Hockinson High School, home of the Hawks. We are so honored and thankful for the opportunity to serve the amazing students, families, and staff of HHS. We cannot wait to meet all of you this fall, and I am confident that the 2021-2022 school year is going to be a great one. Individual student success is a focus of Hockinson High School, however, we measure that success holistically by focusing on their social, emotional, and physical well-being, creating positive relationships and connections, and building a solid educational foundation that encourages lifelong learning.

As a learning community of students, families, and educators we must work together and communicate clearly to ensure that students have equitable access to a quality education and experiences at Hockinson High School. As a school, we will focus on:

  1. Providing high quality instruction that ensures learning for every student in every classroom every day.

  2. Creating an intentional climate and culture where staff and students want to come to school because they want to.

These are not aspirations. These are focus elements that will guide our daily actions.

We highly encourage all students to be involved in on-campus activities like sports and clubs. It is an investment in each student’s personal growth and development, builds positive school culture, and improves the overall climate of our school. Extracurricular activities also teach a wide range of skills that can prepare students for future careers and relationships. We have 17 sports teams and 15 student-led clubs and organizations on campus. If a club or organization isn’t currently available, let’s meet and try to get it going.

Stay involved with all that is happening at Hockinson High School through our new and improved school website, social media accounts, and Inside Scoop that goes out to families every Friday. Support each other through the various events and activities on campus. Root for each other. Join a club. Play a sport. High school is a short amount of time in the grand story that is your life. Don’t be afraid to enjoy it. We are looking forward to a great school year of growth and success.

Go Hawks!
