First day of preschool. Children will attend from 10:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Visit our preschool information page for the full schedule.

Monday, August 19, 2019:
Main office opens. Office hours are from 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Thursday, August 22, 2019:
Back to School Night. 5 to 7 p.m. drop-in. Parents will have the opportunity to meet teachers, drop off supplies, talk with PWT (our parent group) and turn in paperwork. Students will have the opportunity to meet their teacher and the other students in their class. Note: Ms. Ureda will host a Back to School Night for parents & students in her class on Monday, August 26 from 5 to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, August 28, 2019:
First day of school - grades 1-5. This is a one-hour early release day, as are all Wednesdays. Students in grades 1-5 will attend from 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
August 28 - 30, 2019:
Kindergarten parent meetings. Registered families will be contacted by the District Office during the week of August 19 - 23 to schedule a meeting time.
Tuesday, September 3, 2019:
First day of school - Kindergarten. Students will attend from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Main office opens. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, August 21, 2019:
Hockinson Middle School Orientation Day. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. drop-in. Students will turn in paperwork, pay fees, have school photos taken and receive schedules.
Monday, August 26, 2019:
6th Grade Open House. 6 to 7 p.m. Students and their families will have the opportunity to meet their teachers and see their classrooms.
Wednesday, August 28, 2019:
First day of school - grades 6-8. This is a one-hour early release day, as are all Wednesdays. Students in grades 6-8 will attend from 8:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
Thursday, August 29, 2019:
7th & 8th Grade Open House. 6 to 7 p.m. Students and their families will have the opportunity to meet their teachers and see their classrooms.

Main office is now open. Office hours are from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. (office closes at 3 p.m. on Wednesdays)
Thursday, August 22, 2019:
Parent Information Night. 5 to 7 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room. Students are welcome. Teachers will be in their classrooms and schedules will be available for pick-up. Parents will have the opportunity to attend the following sessions:
- Session 1 (5 p.m.) - Academic Expectations (grading, homework, graduation requirements, etc.)
- Session 2 (5:45 p.m.) - Teenager Development (brain science, anxiety & depression, how to help, substance use, etc.)
- Session 3 (6:15 p.m.) - How HHS works (Schoology, focus, daily schedule, curriculum etc.)
Friday, August 23, 2019:
Junior/Senior Orientation. Seniors: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Juniors: 12: 30 to 3:30 p.m. Orientations will include school pictures, schedule pick up, paying fees, the opportunity to purchase an ASB card and more.
Monday, August 26, 2019:
Freshman/Sophomore Orientation. Sophomores: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Freshmen: 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Orientations will include school pictures, schedule pick up, paying fees, the opportunity to purchase an ASB card and more.
