Teachers contract
Today our teachers union ratified its new two-year contract and ended the work stoppage. The School Board will vote on the final contract in a special meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the High School Library. The contract includes a 14.5 percent increase in compensation this school year followed by a 2 percent (or state allocation) increase in 2019-20. It also includes many other items that were part of Hockinson’s full contract negotiation.
